Celebrating 70 Years of Stock Car Racing at Yarmouth Stadium!
2025 marks a major milestone as the green flag drops on 70 consecutive years of continued Stock Car Racing at Yarmouth Stadium — the only stadium venue in East Anglia to have delivered the adrenaline-fuelled thrills and spills for such an incredible span of time.
Back when it all began, another iconic venue also echoed with the roar of engines — the much-missed Firs Stadium in Norwich, home to the legendary Norwich Stars speedway team. Though Firs is no more, Yarmouth continues to carry the torch.
To celebrate this historic occasion, a special anniversary race meeting will take place on Sunday 15th June, with an earlier start time of 1pm. The event will feature the thunderous Formula One B.R.I.S.C.A. Stock Cars, powerful V8 Stock Cars, and the ever-entertaining National Ministox — with top drivers and spectators from across the UK and as far as the Netherlands, descending on Yarmouth. The meet will double up as a World Championship Qualifying Round so expect fierce competition, full-throttle action, and edge-of-your-seat excitement from the green flag to the chequered.
Plan Ahead:
- Car parks open: 10am — including extra overflow areas used in the 60s, 70s and early 80s
- Turnstiles open: 11am
- Start time: 1pm
